God Remembers the Righteous — Trusting the Lord in a Forgetful World
Main Verse
“The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.” — Psalm 34:15 (KJV)
Supporting Passage
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name…” — Hebrews 6:10a (KJV)
Exposition
In a world quick to forget those who walk quietly with God, the psalmist reminds us that the Lord never loses sight of His own. His eyes are not distracted. His ears are not closed. The righteous — those made righteous by faith in Christ — are always before Him.
Though men may overlook your faithfulness, God never does. He hears your silent prayers, sees your unseen labors, and remembers what the world forgets. Even when your path is hard and hidden, the Shepherd watches closely.
Application
You may feel unrecognized, unimportant, or even unnoticed in your Christian walk. But the God of heaven not only sees — He cares. Your late-night prayers, acts of quiet service, and tears shed in secret are all known to Him.
Take heart. God's attention is not like the fickle gaze of the world. He is attentive, faithful, and good. Let this be your strength: you are not forgotten. In the Lord’s eyes, you are never lost in the crowd. Keep serving. Keep praying. Keep trusting. The God who remembers you now will reward you then.
“The world may forget you, but God keeps a perfect record of every faithful step.” — J.C. Ryle
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the comfort that You see me and hear me. When I feel overlooked or discouraged, remind me that You never forget those who love and follow You. Help me to live for Your eyes, not for the applause of men. Strengthen my faith to continue serving You with joy, knowing You remember every labor done in love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
